SIERRA LEONE WORKSHOP

 

The regional training workshop for West African Chapters was held in Freetown, Sierra Leone from September 4 th to 8 th 2006.The workshop aimed at strengthening the managment, oversight and monitoring skills of parliamentarians in western Africa as well as seeking to consolidate the APNAC network in the region.

Participating states included Gambia, Sierra Leone, Ghana and Liberia.

The Parliamentary Center, Canada and the African Parliamentarians Network against Corruption (APNAC) provided a one week anti-corruption course for a limited number of members of the Africa Parliamentarians Network against Corruption (APNAC) and civil society organizations.

 

This anti-corruption training session, was organized in collaboration with the National Accountability Group (NAG) in Sierra Leone with an aim of strengthening the oversight and monitoring skills of parliamentarians in West Africa as well as seeking to consolidate the APNAC network in the region.
