International Development Agency - CIDA
APNAC is supported by CIDA through the Parliamentary Centre's Africa-Canada Parliamentary Strengthening Program (ACPSP), which runs from 2002 until 2007. The purpose of the program is to strengthen the capacity of democratic African parliaments to: increase transparency in decision-making; achieve effective parliamentary oversight and accountability over anti-corruption efforts, poverty reduction strategies and gender equality actions; and participate in the effective and inclusive implementation of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD). |

International Development Agency- DANIDA
DANIDA recently provided a grant to APNAC. In the context of this partnership, APNAC sees the new funding being provided by DANIDA as a very welcome and useful complement to the present work being done to strengthen the capacity of the Network, expand National Chapters, and increase parliamentary efforts against corruption. The funding will be used in ways that will respect and strengthen the results framework within the different components of support for which DANIDA is providing help. |

Parliamentary
Centre
APNAC and the Parliamentary Centre have worked closely together since the formation of the Network in 1999. In April 2003, a formal Partnership Agreement was signed between the two organizations in Addis Ababa, to undertake to cooperate in the implementation of the CIDA-funded Africa-Canada Parliamentary Strengthening Program. This agreement went on to state that, ‘This program seeks to strengthen accountability, transparency, representational equity and policy impact from democratic parliaments in governance in Africa.’ More specifically, the ACPSP aims to strengthen democratic parliaments in Africa via three African parliamentary networks: on poverty reduction, gender equality and anti-corruption, which share best practices and connect better with NEPAD.

Tranparency
International
Tran sparency International, one of the world's leading anti -corruption policy groups, has been a strong supporter of APNAC since the Network was created. Apart from participation at APNAC's conferences and activities, several TI chapters in Africa have formed partnerships with APNAC chapters in which they serve as the secretariat of the latter. Some of these include TI chapters in Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. |
